What is bandwidth?

Bandwidth is a term used in web hosting and networking to describe the size of the network connection. It is usually referenced in terms of volume per second such as bps (bits per second), Kbps (kilobits per second), Mbps (megabits per second) or Gbps (gigabits per second)

It is often confused with transfer.
